HIM has 6 housing units under Charleston Housing's Moderate Rehabilitation Program, which is unit based assistance (a family has assistance as long as they reside in a unit). The house pictured here has 4 apartments of varying sizes. Currently all apartments are occupied.

This House has 2 apartments. Currently both apartments are occupied. Both housing units have undergone recent improvements; new roofs, exterior painting, new windows installed; and many repairs; plumbing replaced in several apartments, floor and ceiling tiles replaced in two apartments, bathrooms redone and improved in two apartments, baseboard heat upgraded in two apartments. However, there is always something to do to keep the units HUD approved and up to HIM standards. Please see below the list of currents repair and maintenance needs on the housing units. • Floor Tile installed in single apartment
• Cast iron tub removed and tub/shower unit installed in single apartment
• Hand railing repaired or replaced
• All units paint on interior
• Porches painted on two apartments
• Two doors replaced and drop ceiling installed in one apartment
