2. Raise Opportunities
Provide the resources and tools that help local families not only fight hunger, but overcome personal crisis, empower people toward a vested interest in their future, and prevent further deterioration and exploitation of the people of Appalachia.
On this site, we envision the expansion of our Thrift Store into a more cooperative endeavor. Through it we will provide jobs for the jobless, vouchers for those who participate and emergency items for those in crisis.
With the inclusion of this property, we will provide facilities for social services such as life skills and computer training, counseling, and employment assistance.
This expansion also provides jobs to the community.
The Site for the Outreach Center is located just down the street from the Mission itself.
