Hissom Inter-City Mission

Volunteers of all skill levels are needed to help with the Food Pantry distribution, do remodel, repair and maintenance work, raise funds, and help in the Thrift Store.

If you would like to volunteer your time, talent, and support to those in need, we encourage you to fill out the form below and indicate the area in which you would like to help. If you have a specialty or special talent you would like to offer to HIM, please choose Other and explain briefly in the space provided. WAYS TO VOLUNTEER:

Helping in THE FOOD PANTRY provides the immediate blessing of providing help and comfort to those who need food. And the praises and blessings just keep coming all day, every day! "Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy" (Matthew 5:7)

Donating your MAINTENANCE and repair skills to HIM surrounds you with a blessing much like stepping into a warm bath after a productive day at work. It is exhausting and challenging, but its blessing fills every fiber of your being. Currently we are need people to help with the kitchen remodel and to help with the building of tiny houses for the homeless. "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." (Matthew 5:16)

Working in the THRIFT STORE is always something we need. The store is open Monday - Friday 10 AM - 5 PM. Donations come in constantly, and need sorted, priced and displayed. Currently we have one very hard working woman who manages all the work at the store, but it is very often more work than one person can do.
