Despite early setbacks and a few days of less than perfect or even unsafe conditions, Russ has always kept his crusade for the hungry in the forefront of his mind. Sid McMillan, who has been kind enough to open his home to Russ at Whistler, and enthusiastic enough to join Russ on many of his days of skiing at Whistler, said this,“I just have to say that Russ is doing an incredible job spreading the word for the Mountain Hop out here in Whistler and getting the job done with an insane amount of vertical feet. he is laser-focused on his mission and spreading mind blowing good vibes on his journey to help others in these especially difficult times. it’s been an honor skiing with him and watching him work the crowds on the mountains and in the village. tomorrow i get to join him again in racking up some vert and helping some deserving people. you should all be very proud of this human being who is pushing through exhaustion and injury to make this happen. dig deep and donate.”
