Julia A. “Judy” Hissom Crowder, 71, of Sissonville passed away on April 19, 2011 at Hubbard Hospice House.
She was a graduate of
Sissonville High School, a lifelong member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, a member of the United Methodist Women, and a retired cook from Kanawha County Schools.
She was born April 17, 1940 to Bernard and Bessie Hissom. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers and sister: Lewis, Corky, Jim, Ronald, Larry, Robert and Brenda Hissom.
Surviving her is her loving husband of 52 years, Frank Crowder, Sr. Her children Frank, Jr. and wife Mary Ann Crowder of Morgantown. Sandra Jones of Morgantown. Lewis F. and wife Marsha Crowder of Ripley. 9 Grandchildren: Laura, Liesl, Elise, Evan Crowder; Elizabeth, Daniel, Zachary, Mackenzie Jones; and Lewis P. Crowder. 1 great-grandchild, Karsyn, and her faithful companion Bubba.
She is also survived by brothers and sister: Charles, and wife Frances Hissom of Sissonville; Butch and wife Anna Mae Hissom of Sissonville; Carolyn Sue and husband Calvin Fitzwater of St. Albans. A host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services were held 2:00 PM Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, Sissonville with Pastor Brad Bennett officiating. Burial followed in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico. 
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to The Hubbard House, 1001 Kennawa Drive, Charleston, WV 25311 in Judy’s name.
